Been looking at replacement barrels the last couple of days. Not a ton out there. Shortest thing on Green Mountain's website is a 11.5". Kvar has a 8.25" for a 23mm trunnion but its a tad expensive ($230).

    Any other leads out there?
As I noted previously excessive bore runout is common on CommBloc weapons, especially taking that much length off.

Why not cut the current barrel first to see of you got lucky with a decent barrel. My 104ur had a pretty centered bore when it was cut, while my 107ur was slightly off. It wasnt too too bad though. Not compared to one I've seen on the ak files forums. Might not have to buy a new one if you don't have to.

    Thanks!
It's really not rocket science. You can rent the tools to cut the face of the muzzle true in relation to the bore and then crown the muzzle. The hardest part of the whole thing is getting the gas block off, getting the restrictor plug out of the gas port and the getting the whole thing back on and repinned without it being canted.

I did mine on the back patio. The only annoying part was dealing with dull rental cutting tools for the muzzle and the crown. After that experience I bought my own. The gun worked well enough to get me 3rd out of 63 or so shooters on the 400yd stage at the Oklahoma Run&Gun back in 2013 or so.

Bert is lying to you. AK 47 is the most perfect tire tolerance weapon in the world. Just get yourself a hack saw and some threading dies it will be super easy to shorten that thing and get it suppressed.

    I’m kidding
Tho it will make me a begger in the streets burn it if you must
