    Default Century Arms PSA

This probably doesn’t need to be said, but just in case. Stay away from Century AK’s, if you have one invest in at a minimum a field headspace gauge in the caliber your is chambered in and ensure your rifle has proper headspace.

Ideally have it examined by an AK armorer or highly competent Smith that has extensive time working with the AK series.

Their all American made C39's are definitely something to avoid at all costs. To say their metallurgy is not up to spec is an understatement. They are a grenade waiting to happen.
Their parts kit guns are a crap shot. It really depends on who they subcontracted the build work out to. Some are good, some not so much.
WASR 10's are generally GTG IMHO. Of course Century just imports them and does the minimum work required for 922r compliance (and they manage to screw that up once in a while).

    ^^^ Concur wholeheartedly.
I have seen 3 of them grow headspace to dangerous levels within 5000 round, one of them within 1500 rounds.

People still buy them for the "cost" hopefully none of them shoot any. What a disaster.

Quality guns designed by Europeans and built by the original or other approved manfacturers = Good to go.

Quality guns designed by Europeans and built by American manufacturers trying to make a buck = Disasters

Century built rifles are garbage, Century imported rifles such as the WASR are good to go..

Sadly I was at Machine Gun Tours last week and they had a purple AK on display that I just had to ask who would have done such a thing.. it turned out to be a Century RAS47 (other than an IO built AK the lowest of the low you could go) that they had painted themselves and touted as an American made AK, "the best you can get", I almost vomited. Lost all respect for that shop.

Sadly the attitude of taking a crap firearm and painting it pink, purple, or teal and then marketing it towards unsuspecting potential buyers as a gun for a girl seems to be still a thing in this industry.
