Unfortunately we are down in South TX for a family emergency. Been here a week today and me and the boy will head back Sunday.
Wife will stay here for the time being.
I mean, but while we are down here we gotta eat!!!

I worked in the DFW area for quite awhile back in the 90's, and found Whataburgers to be rather dry and lifeless, nothing like my hometown Okie burgers. Didn't care for them. But I'd try one again. Like In-N-Out burgers just fine, grilled onions rock!

Whataburger patty melt. It has the grilled onions and a pepper sauce on it. Not as dry as the usual

My family gives In-N-Out an OK rating, but big thumbs-up for Whataburger based on our experiences in TX.

I found Whataburger to be spendy, they were ok, but nothing I would go out of my way for.

In-N-Out is good, and I will eat there if there is one in the area, but if I am not in the area, I won't drive an hour just to eat there.

Drifters in COS was a pretty good substitute for INO and to be honest as crowded as INO is in COS I would just go to Drifters LOL

I was born & raised in Enid, OK - grew up on burgers w/grilled onions, ain't nothing better! And 80/20 meat is best, the fat gives a lot more flavor. Leaner meat isn't as tasty.
