I've had I/O on a trip to Northern California.
I can't say I got a woody, but I can't bitch either.
The chances of me going through the Springs and making a point to eat there are about zero.

My Feedback
I've had In-N-Out on two separate visits to CA. The last time was in January with coworkers who just rave over them. Neither time I went really impressed me. Okay, but nothig special.
I haven't had Church's since I moved out of Kansas City (MO) in 1985. That is probably the best restaurant chicken I've ever eaten. I miss Church's.
I used to go to KY via Southern IL to go visit my in-laws. I would always stop in @ White Castle either going down to KY or coming home. I love me some White Castle sliders - by the bagfull. Now that the in-laws have passed away and we've sold their home we have no reason to make the trek.

After reading this post, I went to Culver's and got a snack pack combo for under 5 before taxes. It was small and cheap. Lunch under $5.
Suggestive impulse eating...sucker..Much?

My Feedback
I haven't seen a Church's in ages, I always liked it better than KFC.
As for In-n-Out, its popular for a few reasons (even though most folk that try it now are not super impressed):
- Its cheap, but still pretty good
- Its got a "secret menu"
- It's deeply connected to car culture in California (many locations host car shows every weekend)
- People that grew up in California connect it very strongly to their childhood
- The fries!
So I see why people from California love it, and my brother who lives in Vegas really likes it (he's pulled in by the "secret menu") but I also can see why most everyone else is underwhelmed by it (myself included).
If I had one close by I'd eat there occasionally, but there's just too many other places that are just as good.

I worked in NJ for a summer during college. And, because of Harold and Kumar I couldn't wait to try White Castle when I got out there. I was very disappointed.
There was a White Castle within walking distance of my dorm at the University of Indiana... it was open 24 hours a day... do I even need to tell you how many sacks of sliders we ate that year?!?

Church's is ok, but it sucks that the Denver area stores don't have white gravy for the chicken strips like they do in TX

In n Out is a solid burger, when you factor in the price it’s arguably the best burger. It’s cheap, it has fresh ingredients and the thousand island sauce is good.
