Is the money worth it on Daniel Defense Barrels?
What kind of accuracy improvements would on see say over a Aero Precesion barrel or a Palmetto?

Since no one else has, I will chime in. I have two DD barrels, both bought stripped and then assembled onto builds. One was a 14.5" carbine gas LW, the other a 16" mid gas LW, both chrome lined. They are excellent quality barrels, capable of lasting many thousands of rounds. But, both are over-gassed and tend to string shots as they heat up. The stringing is a result of the lightweight profile, and a heavier profile DD barrel probably will not string- but I can't say personally, as I do not own one of those. Daniel Defense also does not dimple their barrels for set screws, making installation of a gas block potentially more difficult (depends who's building it I guess). The accuracy will probably be better than most Palmetto barrels, certainly more consistent, perhaps on par with a premium Palmetto barrel if it wasn't made on a Friday. I also have a 16" Ballistic advantage nitrided "Hanson" barrel (I have heard they make Aero's barrels- not sure though) and it is sweet. Properly ported and very precise and consistent. Doesn't string, holds good groups, etc. I think Ballistic Advantage is one of the best barrels for the money if accuracy/ precision is a concern. I won't get into the nitride vs. chrome lined debate, but both have their pros/ cons. I will say that I will probably never buy another DD or Palmetto barrel, only because I can get more out of my money elsewhere- not because I feel they are sub-par.
Hope this helped!
Check out mas defense for a nice selection of barrels. Everyone I purchased from them was a tack driver.

Thanks all.
Any word on Faxton barrels?

No direct experience with Faxon, but I saw one at a match that was key-holing 55gr ammo after what the owner said was only a few thousand rounds. Internet reviews of their barrels seem positive... YMMV
considering the lifetime warranty, no questions asked, on DD barrels, yes worth it. Very accurate...shoot 10,,0000 or even 5,000 rounds through it (or 20 rounds), you aren't happy, they replace it free of charge? What could be wrong with them?
