    Default Next Governor of Colorado

I know that Jared Polis is running for the D (pun intended).

I was quite happy that George Brauchler would be running for R. Now he is out ( I meant to post this a while back).

Who is going to run in his place? We need to at least try and get the state back.

I hate being a pessimist for the first reply to this thread, but Polis will be the next Governor, that being said, if I'm still in CO, I'll vote against him.

You and me both. I'm very tired of the liberal leadership this state has had over the last several terms

I think Thomas Jefferson had a quote about that. Arbor day or something.

Brauchler decided to switch to Atty Gen when Tancredo announced intent to run for Gov.

I think Brauchler was best of the bunch, wish he would not have switched.

Am a big Tancredo fan but think his participation in Governor race is stupid move and an example of Colorado Republican Party's ability to fuck up as a group.

Tom Tancredo has proven in the past that he can draw about a third of the Republican votes, but can't draw enough to actually win the election.
It could be a different story in the next election, but it could also be enough to ensure a Democrat is elected if the Democrats can rally around one candidate.
Could be another example of the Republicans once again shooting themselves in the foot.

Correction- Brauchler got out when Cynthia Coffman (the current AG) declared intent to run.
Here's the full list of R candidates:
    Steve Barlock, activist
    Cynthia Coffman, Colorado Attorney General
    Lew Gaiter, Larimer County Commissioner
Greg Lopez, former Mayor of Parker and candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2016
    Victor Mitchell, former State Representative
    Doug Robinson, businessman
    Jim Rundberg, businessman
    Walker Stapleton, Colorado State Treasurer
Tom Tancredo, former U.S. Representative, candidate for Governor in 2014 and Constitution Party nominee for Governor in 2010

2010 - Tancredo drew 36% and would have drawn more if the (R) hadn't run the fraud Maes who drew 11%.
