I remember Robinson XCR. It was one of the hottest firearm around 05'ish. Gas operated. At the same time, people were started to get into bushmaster, rock river arms, stag, etc.

I think late 04 and 05 were one of the funnest gun buying years due to awb lapse.

Depending on how curious you are there is an XCR forum......As to how informative it is I couldn't tell you I have never looked around on it.

Didn't Robinson sell his soul to the anti's? I seem to recall something like that happening. Hot rifle for sure.

Hadn't thought about them in years. I recall they were way too expensive for my budget when they first started shipping rifles and they're pretty pricey now, too. Your question prompted me to look them up...still in business in UT. Always seemed like a nice rifle.

Junk guns have a way of dying out as quickly as they arrived.

I'm still waiting on the 16" bbl fo rmy M96 i purchased in 01. Waited 3 months then decided to cut to 16" and rethread. Sold it in 03, luckily broke even on the deal. Was a nice but very heavy rifle.

Always thought these were cool. I remeber the XCR is magazines and how cool they were. Unfortunately I was still in high school in 2004 so I could of never afford one. Now after graduating college and becoming an adult I can afford nice things. Been wanting to pick one up but after the not so good posts here I may have second thoughts.

I had one - it had one mechanical flaw that was easily fixed with Loctite. The trigger was awful. it ran really well...
