    Default Where do you buy?

I am really close to buying my first press and start getting into reloading. I was wondering where do you find the best deals on primers, bullets, powder, casings? Where do you typically check prices? Do you usually find the best deals online (what site?) at stores (what store?) at gunshows? Any information will be helpful and appreciated.

The problem currently on reloading supplies is supply, not prices.
Most are buying whatever they can find at any price.

Historically Midway is a great place to price shop to give you an idea what you are going to spend but supplies are usually available cheaper locally.

Powder Valley has good prices on primers and powder but the haz mat charges can eat you for lunch, hense the buy locally.

For odd bullets that you local shop doesn't stock, Midway is usually been a good choice.

I have bought bulk 1-5000 bullets from Winny and Remmy from places like Cabelas and Wideners and Imapct Guns. I historically have bought primers and powder locally from places like Sportsmans Warehouse or Big R
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I just hit up Bass Pro off Quebec and they had the powder I needed (even Midway was out), and the bullets (Midway, Cabela's, the factory, and everywhere else was sold out of those).

They didn't have any primers, though. They seem to be just about impossible to get...I still don't understand that one. Assault rifles are in stock, but no primers....Fortunately, I have enough left from years prior to get me through this hunting season. Local would be best because of the ridiculous HAZMAT fee of 22.50 + Shipping for even one box of primers or powder, but nobody has them in stock....ever. Keep your eyes on the local boards, usually someone has some. You'll likely pay scalper's prices, but if you just need a few hundred, it will be cheaper than paying the HAZMAT charge and waiting for a backorder to come in.

I like to help support the local guys when I can, but I buy my share online too. Try The Reloaders Corner in Arvada, or Green Mountain Guns. Call first to see if they have what you want, pickin's can be slim these days.
