For all the bluster about not liking the little brat, I get the feeling you'll miss him.

There was disappointingly little joy in a relatively pain in the ass free day today...I'll admit it. A special needs dog like Jack is a LOT of work. Now that he's gone it's surprising how much extra time I have with nothing to do.

Because I'm 99.999% sure it wouldn't have made a difference: PSA regarding helping an animal recover from cold conditions like that (from my vet-tech sister): If taken to a vet, they could give warm IV fluids which help the animal warm back up internally, along with externally from blankets. However in BG's dog's case given age and neuro-trauma, probably would've been cruel to persist in treatment.
