    I've used Evapro-rust and it works great. It's not navel jelly related. None of the related flash rusting. My only problem was when I soaked only half of a plane blade, it etched a dark line where it met the water. Pretty deep actually. Otherwise near perfect product. Also look into "washing soda" electrolysis. DC volts and time cleans the rustiest things.

    Evapo rust is awesome and it should be on the shelf at Harbor Freight.

    Vinegar and water or Navel Jelly works for me. Rub mustard on the offending piece works as well.

    Wouldn't the active ingredient in mustard just be vinegar?

    I've used mustard for a forced patina,never thought of it for cleaning.
