My 14 year old orange tabby starting to have bad kidney issues : ( Looks like I'll be giving him subcutaneous fluids twice a week to keep his fluids level constant. And the K/D (kidney-friendly diet) is not exactly cheap. I'm going to keep him going for as long as he's comfortable, though. He's been a fantastic cat- never scratched or hissed at anyone, serious hit with the ladies, etc. Love that guy.

We had a cat with urinary crystal issues. Had him on prescription food for a while. We found better pricing and more flavor options on http://www.chewy.com. Was cheaper with delivery than buying from Petsmart.

Don't give him tap water- use distilled water. The crap they put in tap water isnt good for anyone, much less a cat. I'm sorry that you're going through this- one of our cats had kidney issues.

My wife's boss gave her one of those Alexa things for Christmas... It's actually kind of neat- you can just yell at it all day "Alexa, play iHeartRadio, 630 KHOW." "Alexa, tell me a joke." "Alexa, STFU!" I even tried to have fun and ask "Alexa, when will Skynet become self-aware." Didn't work though.

That is an interesting point... albeit a bit tin foily, but with the way things are going, this wouldn't surprise me. Good thing all we talk about in our kitchen is what's for dinner and that funny thing that happened on the way to the forum.

I'm the same way. My wife's family got her an Echo Dot or whatever it is. I told my wife, which she already knew, I don't like that kind of stuff in the house. I don't run any of my cameras in the house either. I don't even like the wireless baby monitor. Am I being paranoid, probably. It's more of a peace of mind thing for me. Her whole family loves crap like that where I'm the kind of guy that would rather live simpler.

This year I didn't get much, but I also won't complain about the things that I did receive.

As for the second part of your query, I would cite the "discount" brownell binoculars that my mom gave me some years back. They must have been dropped or something, cause when you look through them you feel as though you just got off a Tilt-A-Whirl.
