Wait, so people claim it's going to cost MORE to pump your own gas?!?! Even when the station won't have to pay an attendant? That doesn't make sense at all. I'm not that old, but even I remember the days when gas station signs had two prices...full service and self service. And self service was less.

I lived in NJ for a summer. Every gas station, no matter how many pumps, had ONE attendant. One. After waiting time and again for someone to fill my tank for 10 or 15 minutes, I started just doing it myself. No one ever said anything. F their stupid socialist BS.

Man I didn't know there were places like this. I told my wife a while back that I remember the "Full Service" line when I was a kid at some gas stations. I said I'm sure nothing like that exists anymore. Then this article came out. The comments....GOLD! I can't believe how ridiculously entitled and incompetent people are. I'm blown away daily by this.

On the one hand, I want to laugh with a deep gut laugh.
On the other, it is truly saddening that their politics have largely caused these issues. They get what they want and then they still aren’t happy and decide they don’t want it.

I'm in Colorado where we are forced to pump our own gas. Because I'm worried about my children being left in the car while I stand outside of it in my skirt, I just pay the transients to pump it for me. This way we're all safe and the transients are distracted from bothering those who are pumping their own gas.

I grew up in New Jersey. Now that I have lived out here for so long, when I go back to visit, I have gotten screamed at and the oddest looks when I went to fill up. I keep forgetting you're not allowed to - we go back only once a year, sometimes every other year.
