Tip:

Instead of trying to figure it out from their handout, just do their recall process (requires some shipping info) and check for your actual model; you don't complete the process unless the model is recalled. Their "how to" handout is confusing and makes it seem like practically everything is recalled.

For example, I have several FA5-1 Silver extinguishers. Seemed to be within the recall spectrum. When I went to do the recall I had to search for my model (can use wildcard *). Turns out only the White and Red models are recalled for my model family.

Interesting.
Mine does not have a Model Number or even the UL label.
Have used 2 in the past that were identical and they both worked as expected.
All I usually do is check the pressure gauge and shake the bottle every 6 months to loosen the powder.
Following USCG guidelines.

Has anyone gotten replacements yet? I called mine in 3 weeks ago and still nothing.

I’m about 10 days since reporting and nothing yet. They told me 3 weeks or so.

I have more extinguishers than I thought - entered them all in the online system, which indicated they all were to be valid replacements and they would be in touch. I received an email that "clarified" a bunch of stuff. So now I have to go verify all of it again - and maybe only one or two of the bunch I have are qualified.

I might do this tomorrow.

Thanks for posting this, 2 of my 8 were on the list. Said I should have replacements in 2 weeks.
