Not necessarily relevant directly to this thread, but if this pipe dream ever happened, I would certainly have a renewed interest in moving to CA, as there may be hope of "New California" ditching the bogus gun laws.

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
As do I, although I won't hold my breath. New California residents would have a decent shot at becoming a purple, if not red state, and living in San Bernardino county would put me in my wife's families back yard. Again, this is all likely wishful thinking, but I can dream.
Where is the mag law? Is that still under a hold from on the Judges order?
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.
How do they propose to stop people from buying ammo in other states and bringing it into California?
Probably about like other gun laws are enforced.
As an example, how does NFA get enforced with an SBR? You can easily buy parts, but it is not legal to have an unregistered SBR.
It is possible that someone could go a very long time with an legal/unregistered SBR.
Or Colorado mags. How is that being enforced?
Basically it seems someone get in trouble for something else and then contraband is discovered.
I think it is more happenstance that people get caught with some of this and then additional charges added.
Laws like this only affect people who decide to follow them.
So you could run into a situation where the cops are running a checkpoint at the NEV-CA border, and they let illegals through, but arrest citizens with ammo.
F'd up world.
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.

They'll have gun powder sniffing dogs at the checkpoints where they ask if you're bringing any fruit or plants into the state.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
