Default Large group of DPD heading S I-25

Just saw roughly 10-15 DPD cruisers with lights on heading S I-25 near I-70. A long train of vehicles in a row and moving fast. Nothing on the scanners. What’s up?

Anticipated closure of I-25 from Castle Rock to Lincoln Ave for roughly 2 hours for the funeral procession. RIP Deputy Parrish!

Saw the video this morning of the procession- 100s maybe even 1000s of LE/Fire/EMS lining I-25 as the procession came through. I would have joined our agency's contingent but I had a dr. appt this morning that I couldn't cancel. So heartwarming to see the support coming out for a fallen brother.

Darn it. Wish I would have known that was this morning. Made a trip down to Bowers and back. I could have been speeding since traffic patrol likely wasn’t high on the list of priorities this morning.

Unfortunately for the rest of society, this will not be the last time a cop will be killled in the line of duty. Fortunately for you, with the advancements in modern technology with reminders and alerts on all things from cell phones to smart watches, you could never miss another opportunity to get full personal value out of a dead law enforcement officer. Real classy.

Literally a line of LEOs parked bumper to bumper on I25 from Castle Pines all the way up to the Lincoln exit. That is probably about 5 miles long. I had no idea there were that many police cars in the state! Very impressive show of support all over this morning. Tough drive in for sure!

Many also came from out of state to pay their respects.
