Default Taper mount muzzle device stuck in griffin blast shield

Yeah yeah yeah I'm an idiot. I was testing the brake shield on the minimalist brake before attaching the device to the barrel and wow I didn't twist it tight at all but man I can't get it off. Griffin recommends putting some red loctite on the barrel threads, put on device, let sit for 20 min then take off the blast shield and remove device and wipe clean. Does anyone think blue would be better or rocksett? It shouldn't take much since I barely screwed them together and in afraid removing the device from the barrel if I use red loctite could be tough.

Either loctite lets go pretty readily with a bit of heat.

I'm just afraid the heat would ruin the finish on the barrel, blast shield or muzzle device. I have a propane torch. Or do I need to get something lower on the spectrum like a heat gun or soldering iron?

Maybe go to the range a do a mag dump or two to heat the barrel. I had to repair a Tommy gun that the front sight came off because the owner did so many mag dumps and got it too hot.

Use a heat gun, 3 minutes of slowly moving it around the end where it screws on to the bbl and you're gtg.

Would it be easier to rocksett it and then when the blast shield comes off submerge the muzzle in water for 24 hours? It's longer I've just heard horror stories of loctite refusing to let go.

The loctite red stuck forever stories are internet BS , probably used 5 gal of the stuff in 25 years turning a wrench and have never had a fastener not come apart because of loctite .

Ok I'll trust the expertise. I'll give some red loctite a try and pick up a heat gun
