Default New Gun Laws for 2018 (California)

Seems there are at least a few here that travel to California from time to time. Not posting any particular link because I can't find any 2 that jive completely. Examples though include:
Face to face sales through licensed dealers only
No ammo brought into California from out of state
    BGC for ammo purchases
Permit, at some point (2019) will be required

Sorry not to post any links but the info doesn't seem, that I've seen, to have a general consensus.

BGC & permit for ammo starts in 19

No Ammo from OOS if for internet sales, prohibiting ammo to be sent to ones address. ALL ammo must be transferred through a FFL

Technically any firearm sale in CA has required a BGC along with 10 day wait. Unless you're doing a family transfer, that can be done on the CADOJ website.

Supposedly the ammo sales through FFL has been challenged and currently in limbo. With some stores not selling till there's written clarification regarding exact wording.
LE's are once again exempt. Which allows one to send ammo to X people behind the Great Wall of Aztlan .
It's cheaper for me to send them a 550 and or Single Stage with components than ship ammo. Less hassle too.

Here's some interesting reading. Once again CA welcomes Illegals in yet puts more restrictions on Legal Citizens.

Here's what's holding up ammo sales

California Code of RegulationsTitle 11, Division 5Chapter 10.

The annual application fee for an ammunition vendor license (initial and renewal) is $198

Pursuant to Penal Code section 30350, ammunition shall not be displayed for sale or transfer in amanner that allows that ammunition to be accessible to a purchaser or transferee without theassistance of the vendor or an employee of the vendor. Ammunition displayed in a shopping areaopen to the public is not considered “accessible” provided it is in a locked container (e.g. displaycase, cabinet, cage).

Just another reason to rename that state "Commiefornia".

How would one prove ammo manufacture date? I have never seen date stamp on the cardboard boxes.

Only residents are barred from bringing in ammo from out of state. If you as a non CA resident is traveling to CA you may bring ammo in...you just can’t “transfer” it it to another person without going through an ffl

My guess is that the reloading subforum on CalGuns will quadruple in traffic in the next few months.

No impact to reloading components then? Or will sellers interpret that in just to do the devil’s work for him?
