I thought it was interesting that the article suggested that she was rushing to the scene for coverage. It's not like she didn't know which school her kid attended. However, I suppose if she piled out of a van with a camera running behind her, then that story tells itself.

In the part of my brain that has thoughts that shouldn't be said out loud, I wonder if she was doing the shitty reporter thing like at Columbine where reporters run around asking terrified parents things like, "Your own child could be laying inside the school right now, how does that make you feel?" when she found out.
