So the shooter was raised by a single mother who is a member of the left's "priestly class"; an MSM "journalist" ... And he's likely suffering from some sort of psychological disorder ($10 says so is mom).

Further illustrating the link between the left, mental illness and mass murder.

Suspect in Kentucky school shooting identified as the 15-year-old son of a newspaper editor
Parker was described by friends, classmates and neighbors as a quiet boy who played the trombone and was close to his grandmother.

Ashley Collie, a sophomore who was in Parker’s math class two years ago, told the Courier Journal he seemed “like a really good kid” who kept to himself.

    Yes, the correct pole.

It's my opinion based on having spent a lot of time looking at the background of various mass shooters. I'm hard pressed to think of a single example where the underlying cause actually was bullying. That was a myth that started with Columbine, and has steadfastly refused to go away ever since.

Like I said, I'd be willing to bet money that this kid wasn't bullied, and has probably exhibited Cluster-B/Dark Triad-type behavior for years. His mother being a reporter would certainly seem to be at least a reasonable indicator that narcissism runs in the family (at least based on my experience having done time working in media...)

Are a reporter and a newspaper editor in the same ballpark?

I keep seeing the shooter's mother being described as a "reporter". Based on the information so far, the shooter's mother is a newspaper editor, which also happens to be the career of the shooter's father.

I got the idea that the mother was an editor from the title of the article you posted. I read the article and this is what it says:
The suspect in a Kentucky school shooting that left two teenagers dead has been identified as Gabe Parker, the son of an online newspaper editor.
So that doesn't really specify which parent is the editor. It really doesn't matter at all though.

From the various articles I've read so far, the shooter's parents divorced when he was 5. Both the father and mother were newspaper editors. Apparently the father slapped his second wife during an argument and pled guilty to 4th degree assault. Wife #2 divorced him.
