9news posted a neat article on the time that Colorado declared martial law to prevent poor New Mexican from entering Colorado and to keep them from competing for jobs and welfare.

But surprisingly, the fact that the governor was a democrat at the time was mentioned a few times. Surprised they left that detail in the story.
