New security at Buell theater

Beginning Tuesday, every entrance at Buell will have a metal detector. Bags must be smaller than 12" by 12" and Denver Arts and Venues is recommending patrons arrive an hour before the show.
Arrive an hour before the show? I bet the opened a bar in the waiting area as well, if they didn't already have one.
"There are no finger prints under water."
They will also crack down on people who bring in their own snacks.
At least dirt bags have another group of guaranteed unarmed people to accost on their way to and from the theater. Oh well, another place I'll never go again.
The same reason I gave up my Rockies season tickets. When I quit renewing my Rockies tickets and they called to ask why. After I explained the metal detectors, he said “You’re afraid of being attacked in Coors field”. I said, “No you expect me to walk the streets to and from Coos Field unarmed”. I told him I would come back if they provide a place to lock up my gun during the game. He didn't have an answer and hung up.

I have twelve metal detectors. One for every day of the week. It is an addiction. I can't wait until I find my first gold nugget. The theater...meh!

This new measure will certainly cut down on the astronomically high crime rate at the Buell theatre.
OK, I did some internet recon. The two plays coming up, are "Stomp" and "Hamilton". Stomp is about guys that make music by beating on garbage cans. Hamilton is a story about a revolutionary named Alexander Hamilton. So you can see the need for extra security!
