Dredging up this old thread from 6 years ago.

Wife and I have E-bikes and we like to ride the trails along the rivers through Pueblo. However, we were thinking that carrying a sidearm might be a good idea because, well, it is Pueblo...

Anything new in terms of concealed carry gear other than the fanny pack? Carry gun would likely be a Ruger SP-101 or S&W M&P 9. We don't wear bicycle shorts or any specific "bike gear" usually its just t-shirts and shorts.

Have a look at all the new bikepacking gear that?s being manufactured. Oveja Negra in Salida may have something that works.

I find a chest bag is the best. Won’t droop like a fanny pack. Hill people gear makes a good one but expensive but other places are making them too now as well.

I've come to the same conclusion as Scanker19. Works on the mtb with a small pack but might look a little more out of place in more urban environment.

5.11 chest pack is decent. I needed a chest pack for a different application. Ended up with the less tactical version with a mesh pouch on front. A bit busy inside but the interior pouch is designed for a holster and will keep a G17. There is a thinner version with external mole. Since there seem to be 5.11 stores everywhere I suggest trying one out.

What ever you decide on, please do some dry firing from concealed at home with it. Crossbreed offers some options to secure not only your gun, but allows easy access to it, if needed.

mounted to this, when secured inside a pack, or other off body carry method, is a fairly solid choice.

I have been riding with a Ruger LCP II. I prefer strong side front pocket in a self made Kydex holster. Next would be strong side back jersey pocket. Last would be handlebar bag with the zipper partially opened depending on the terrain. I have a thong attached to the magazine for security.

A top tube bag will hold my pistol but I keep repair tools there. A top tube bag might be a good spot for many riders.

My 10 MM pistol friend hasn't been riding with his pistol. My .22 LR has to pick up the slack.

I carry in the backpack I wear while biking. It?s in no way fast, and I have my pistol in a kydex holster so don?t have to worry about an ND if I crash
