Default Walk out - Feb 27 (Northern, CO)

An image is being passed around social media in my area about staging a walkout in protest on our current gun control laws; much like the many that are already going on. The image is currently being sent to people on both sides of the fence. My question is, how does the community feel about a legal, polite, intelligent, counter protest? As this is close to home for me, it is hard to sit back and just watch it happen and do nothing. Of course this would be complete legal protest and no funny business but a way to rebuttal aside from posting comments on FB, Instagram or the like.

I get extremely irritated when school aged kids leave the classroom for any type of protest

Does anything really need to be done? Has a walk out ever accomplished anything?

Yes, it's clogged roadways, wasted time of teachers, security, police, etc., it's made tons of people irritated

On the other hand, young people learn by being taught, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to educate they on why this is not the right thing to do.
