Glitch at Brownells apparently

I just got the status for an order I placed. The email arrived with at least 30 (it's a lot, didn't actually count) other orders in it from other people. I called them up and they said it was an "IT glitch". They sent me the personal information for quite a few other people and I have to assume others have gotten mine. I am not pleased.

Geeze there must be at least $10k worth of invoices in this email.

I'd be pissed too!

In the early days, PSA sent me three invoices in one box. Everything in the box was only my stuff so I was happy about that. I figured the others got stuck and thrown in the box by warehouse monkeys.

I called them and gave them the order numbers then shredded the invoices as I do with all of my gun stuff.

Way too much confidence in "technology" these days. I remember talk of "paperless offices" in the early eighties when computers were first starting to appear in offices. Then there were lessons on "Garbage in, garbage out", when I was college in the early nineties. The thing people have yet to figure out is that until the second lesson is habit, the first will never come to pass. Consumers are way too willing to let "IT glitches" slide.

Someone else either here or at one of the other gun forums posted something similar about them or maybe it was midway a few days ago. They said that they placed an order and then the webpage rather than going back to his account went to someone else's account. He repeated this a few times by logging in and out and he kept getting directed to someone else's account. He called their tech support and they didn't seem to upset by it and that they would look into it.

I'm going to call again when I get home and demand some kind of discount on my order.

Hopefully this personal info/orders only went to you, wishful thinking but we'll see. I just put an order through Brownells so maybe you got my stuff too haha.
