    In a similar vein the republicans keep on proposing removing the restriction on CC holders carrying in schools. That never makes it out of committee either...why do Dems hate children so much?

    "assault WEAPON". Not "assault gun" or assault "firearm", so, if I assault you with a piece of corn on the cob, here comes the ban. If I assault you with a knife, here comes the ban. If I assault you with a golf club, (which happens more often than you would imagine), here comes the ban. If I assault you with a cucumber, here comes the ban. Need I go on? Baseball bats are by far more often used in assaults than guns. No ban? DON'T THEY EVEN CARE??? What about the children? If we can only one!
