"assault WEAPON". Not "assault gun" or assault "firearm", so, if I assault you with a piece of corn on the cob, here comes the ban. If I assault you with a knife, here comes the ban. If I assault you with a golf club, (which happens more often than you would imagine), here comes the ban. If I assault you with a cucumber, here comes the ban. Need I go on? Baseball bats are by far more often used in assaults than guns. No ban? DON'T THEY EVEN CARE??? What about the children? If we can only one!
