What's with the barking?

Many of you know I work in a casino. I have "interesting" interactions with people daily. I've had a few lately that have me a totally confused.

First off, I want to be clear that I am not picking on or singling out black people, or African Americans, if you prefer. This is just an observation. I toss out people of every stripe of life all the time. So please, no comments about me being a racist. If you knew me you'd know how laughable that is.

Anyway, in the last few weeks, I have had to approach some folks (nice way of saying I'm kicking them out for bad behavior) who happened to be black. As soon as I start to speak, they just start barking at me like a dog. "Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!" over and over again, very aggressively. If they stop and I try to speak, the barking begins again. All of these encounters were with males, if that matters. I have not had this barking thing go on with any other race.

Is this some BLM thing? Like I'm a dog attacking them and they're mocking me or something? I'm totally serious here and not trying to make some kind of joke.

Last night we had a couple, guy and girl, cause mayhem on a craps table and throw popcorn and beer all over the table. Had to shut the table down due to the mess. Anyway, I get called to address the situation.

When I go to "approach" these folks, the dude starts barking at me...like right in my face. I just backed away a bit and let him bark away. To make a long story short, we're following them out toward the exit where an elderly Security guy is standing - the guy is like 70 and an awesome guy. The male cold cocks the old man out of the blue, laying him out on the floor. The couple then run away.

Old man get transported to the hospital and the whole deal. As I write this he's still there. I really hope his injuries are minor.

Luckily the scumbag was caught by the police and charged with felony assault on the elderly or whatever you cops call it. He deserves to be locked up for a while.

Anyway, any idea what's up with the barking thing?

Weird, I heard of this Back Panther movie but really didn't give a shit since we go to the movies about 4 times a year and it's usually with the kids for one of the "family nights".

Apparently, this is a rather controversial deal. I had no clue. <goes away to bury head in sand again>

ETA: it's sad that this young kid got so whipped up into a frenzy, apparently because of this guys "bark at white people" article, that he now faces a felony charge and an old man might be fucked up bad. WTF are people thinking? Maybe he would have done it without the barking thing but in 15 years, I've never seen this shit.

My aunt was a casino security guard in Vegas. She is the meanest 5 footer you ever seen. She broke a drunk woman's arm at Jerry's Nugget back in the day. Story was the woman had kicked a couple of male security guys in the nuts and needed a woman to subdue her. She twisted the woman's arm behind her back and in her words....it just snapped. If you need a heavy hitter I'll see what I can do. LoL.

There is no way I could do your job, brother. I applaud you for having to deal with drunken ignorant people whatever race they are, and with the regularity that you describe.

I would hedge a bet on the "you owe me" mentality that some Americans harbor. While I believe there is blatant idiocy within all races and "classes". At a significant level, I'm not at all surprised to hear that who you described was acting the way they were acting. Assaulting the old man on the way out the door is appalling and inexcusable. I'm guessing the guard was white?

I believe many BLM champions are idiots with limited education riding a wave of misplaced emotion and rhetoric. Poor cultural behavior breeds further poor behavior among any circle of ethnicity.
