I hope everyone is okay.
Good thing CA has gun control. Or this kind of thing would happen.

All 3 hostages (all female) and the gunman are dead. According to the news, when police stormed the room the gunman was suspected to be holding hostages in, the police found everyone already deceased.
Tragic continuation of mans inhumanity to man(kind).

Yeah...the "I'll show you, and take you out with me" mentality is 100% emotional/mental-psycho.
Suicides are bad enough as it is.....but if you're that distraught and troubled and won't seek help from friends and family and professionals, don't take your personal bullshit out on innocent folks.
Just go do yourself somewhere that doesn't cause trauma to loved ones, or anybody else. If you can't be a man in life, at least be man enough in your unnecessary self inflicted death.

If you want out of this life, just go. You don't need to impact the lives of anyone else.

Some background on the shooter below. I'm not sure what the solution is to veterans with these kind of problems. One day you are in a combat zone, then suddenly you are back stateside. If it was me, I would create a "boot camp" where you graduate to civilian life. My opinion may be wrong...

This was a serious issue for 'Nam vets, one day your in the jungle with Charles trying his best to kill you, 24 hours later your walking down your mainstreet trying to resume civilian life.
There is no "decompression" time it seems.
Not to mention actual time in combat.
In WWII the average GI saw 45 days of actual combat in a year, by Vietnam it was 200+ days. I had read that Iraq/Afghan vets could see 300 days of combat in a year.
That has to put a tremendous zap on one's head.
