Default Pueblo West Shooting Range Fire & Smoke @ Fort Carson

1800 acre fire at Fort Carson. Looks like there will be some smoke at the Pueblo West shooting range. Some residents are complaining on facebook. Luckily the winds are not really bad right now. I hope this saves somebody some grief.

Flew over the fire late last night. Pretty far north and west of the range. Might be a bit smoky at Sundays match.

They been shootin the tanks 120mm guns and set it on fire. Something about section 38 burning. I am out fencing the back yard and I can see it. Supposedly some helicopters are going to help contain it. After they shoot, they should send a drone up to take a look see. Just a suggestion.

I'm not sure that falls under a "controlled burn".

The running joke in the 80s and 90s was that Fort Carson saved the tracer ammo for use only on days that were hot, dry and windy.
