Morning people - the minority - probably love standard time, and there's a misconception that DST is in effect during the winter. But no, it's what lets it be light until 10PM in the middle of Summer, condensing your "non working" time into a part of the day when almost everyone is awake, and 9-5 office workers (or similar) can experience a good part of the warm afternoon summer sun even in the weekdays.
To go to Arizona time means you lose that, at the best in Summer, you'll get off of work and it'll start getting dark around 8:30-9:00PM.
I feel little need to go to standard time in the Winter.
