Is it insensitive to ask what happened to the driver of the other vehicle?

According to the news, two people (husband and wife) in the pickup truck that collided with the deputy's car had minor inuries. The driver of the vehicle he was pursuing escaped on foot, but was later apprehended.

Thank you. I'm glad no one else was hurt. Car accidents are strange things. RIP Deputy.
