Default Where to try out an M1A in Denver/Golden Area

Any ranges in the Denver area that rent the M1A? I'm getting an itch for the M1A Loaded with stainless barrel or the M1A Scout Squad

    My thought too. Or a select-fire M14.

Try calling Bristlecone. They have a good selection of rifles.

Nice rifle. Here is one that is old school. 1997 date of manufacture. Started life as a M1A loaded stainless. Original owner pulled the commercial/MIM parts with the intent of replacing them with USGI parts.

Fast forward to Dec 2017, where owner sold it to another person, who did install all USGI parts and the rifle remained unfired.

I bought it last month just to get one under my belt but hasnít seen the range yet. I picked up a Golden Era Springfield M1A 48XXX serial number from 1989 from Ted Brown, which is also all USGI. He put it in an older stock to give it a Vietnam era M14 look. Pictured rifle has a new Boydís stock.

Final one is one that John Kelley is building for me from all Winchester parts on a Bula receiver. He has a Unertl 10x scope that was used on the M14 in Vietnam based on a Marine sniper book he has that he is going to fashion a mount for. It should be a very nice replica piece. Iíll get pictures up in May when he is finished.

Had great intentions for some of the items I sold but funds got diverted to the project.

The stainless loaded will probably make an appearance in the for sale section. Cool rifle but given the other two, not what I was going for.

Socomís are nice. Always was skeptical of the shorter barrels but they do just fine.
