School wants to arm students with rocks for protection from active shooters

That makes sense. We protect the President and DOS personnel with guns but why don't we transition to rocks. I would request a drug test of this school superintendent to see if he tests positive for eating tide pods like his students. That is the only acceptable response to this decision.

Not a terrible plan. But the fact that the deputy stopped the Maryland shooter in under a minute with a gun, maybe more effective options exist. I remember a story from a while back about a teacher and canned food. She made the 10 year olds practice throwing tuna cans and such. Classroom looked like a food drive.

This is exactly why it's good. It's a slippery slope argument. The next step is slingshots. The idea of a ranged projectile is already embedded into this solution.
