I have a buddy that has one. He has issues with it sucking rain into the air intake and throwing engine codes on a regular basis. Not a big deal around here, but he is on the road all the time and it is very frustrating for him, and they have no way to fix it at this time.

Default Now I know why the battery is dying...

Well the radio fuse is drawing 1 amp every 15 seconds or so. The radio is tied to the onStar system and uses the speakers. I called OnStar and they claim they only query the system once a month for the maintenance check. Last time I had a problem with OnStar they billed my card, but they didn't credit me the phone minutes. When I call to complain, I always get a rep from some foreign country. I can't even understand what they are saying. effing disaster on 4 wheels. As soon as the wind stops, I will check the current draw on the OnStar.

Well I bit the bullet and bought a 2018 ZR2 with the diesel. It is the most un-used, used vehicle I have ever bought. It only has 2700 miles. Very Happy someone else took the off the lot hit.

Default Maybe it will be fixed soon...

The 2018 ZR2 I saw today was MSRP of $49K. The dealer is going to reprogram my radio under a TSB, hopefully for free. If that doesn't fix it, then I have a buy a new radio. I am just wondering if the truck was hacked through OnStar. It just started this last year.

Seems like the dealer fixed the problem by reprogramming the "body control module" (BCM). I came up with the diagnosis myself. Cost was $115. How did the BCM programming become faulty? I have no idea! I am speculating that somebody hacked it through the OnStar...

Default No more GM purchases ever!

Well the TSB (technical service bulletin) came out in 2009. I bought the truck new from the dealer in 2007. They made me pay for something they should have fixed in 2009. So no more GM products for me, and no more purchases from the dealer. eff GM & the Spradley dealership in Pueblo!

What kind of towing can the 4 cylinder diesels handle? I assume that the rest of the suspension components on the truck are still Colorado sized.

Just spent the last two weeks in Panama. Saw more different diesel powered vehicles than you could shake a stick at. Mini trucks, mid sized trucks, suvs & cars. Very few full sized trucks. Saw a couple of newer Toyota Hiluxs with three liter intercooled, turbo charged diesels. Real nice looking trucks. I much want one!!

Yeah, we get screwed on choices here.
