Especially since all the examples I've seen have a tall enough trigger guard for gloves.

Color me stupid, but what is a "closed ear lower".

No removable trigger guard and no trigger guard "ears" since it's all one solid piece.

Hinged trigger guards were all the rage back in the 1960’s. Embrace technology. Advancements in glove technology and lowers with machined trigger guards built in are an improvement over the original design.
I guessed that's what was being referenced, but i have never heard them called that.
So, technically, they don't even have ears.
