    Default Closed Ear Lowers

I have a couple of these from Anderson, and I think the idea makes great sense. Why aren't all lowers closed ear?

Especially since all the examples I've seen have a tall enough trigger guard for gloves.

No removable trigger guard and no trigger guard "ears" since it's all one solid piece.

Hinged trigger guards were all the rage back in the 1960’s. Embrace technology. Advancements in glove technology and lowers with machined trigger guards built in are an improvement over the original design.

I guessed that's what was being referenced, but i have never heard them called that.

So, technically, they don't even have ears.

Maybe you need to open your ears?

(Honestly, I never heard them referred to as closed ears either when talking about lowers with built in trigger guards.)
