Default 450 Bushmaster - 5.56 spring and buffer okay?

I am getting ready to put together the lower for a .450 Bushmaster upper. I didn't find much information on it needing anything special for the spring and buffer, which leads me to believe a 5.56 setup will work. If anyone thinks that is incorrect, I would like to hear about it.

It will work. I went with an extra power spring in my 458 SOCOM but buffer is the same as in my 5.56 AR.

Yep. Just drop it on. I did the extra power spring too. I really enjoy the .450 Bushmaster. It dropped a deer as quick as anything.

Depends on how much gas your bleeding off.
Like the others, I put in a Wilson Combat extra power spring, and also an adjustable gas block on my .458 SOCOM
It will probably function with stock 5.56 parts, but you may be hammering the system unnecessarily.

I was thinking the JP captured spring system might be a good way to go for the .458 Socom as well.

Went with an extra power spring and standard buffer in my .458 SOCOM also. Brass drops within 8 ft. instead of the next county. I have no experience with the .450 though.

The standard AR-15 spring and buffer has been working well for me. 80 rounds in, no problems so far.
