    Fitz, let’s be honest. Most gun parts and even guns aren’t exactly complicated. At some point one has to make a profit to recoup R&D, legal fees, operational overhead, etc. I don’t begrudge the dude for doing just that. Trijicon has more of a WTF factor for what they charge for the ACOG than SlideFire did for their product.

    I don't quite agree. /shrug. Granted I do think acogs are very spendy, but they were fairly advanced when they very first came out and had far more R&D to create I imagine. I'm not one of the assholes that thinks any new plastic part should be $20 either however.

    $250 was rather ballsy, and especially since they never as they saw success gradually maybe drop it a bit as they saw great sales that had to have covered any costs. Instead of being competitive in the market, they sued any other competitor on features that shouldn't be patentable. It's in every right they had to sell it the way they did, just doesn't mean I can't think they were ass hats for it.
