A man who allegedly stabbed two teenagers after he dusturbed them burgling his mother's home was today charged with murder and wounding with intent.

Omari Roberts is accused of knifing Tyler Juett, 17, and his 14-year-old friend after they broke into the house in Nottingham on March 13 this year. Juett later died.

Today Roberts, 23, was charged with murder and wounding with intent after the Crown Prosecution Service said his actions were "not reasonable" and that he should face prosecution.

Wow, I'd find myself another place to call home if defending myself meant getting locked up.

Man, that is a shame for so many reasons...

For one, the victim here is the defender..

Second, the fact that he had only a knife to defend his home with is appalling.

However, I'm sick of this attitude that England takes about not being able to protect property. I don't understand why people in England even call the police at all. I'd suggest just dumping the body into a dumpster, except the whole damn place is covered in cameras. People need to understand that when the nation labels you as a criminal for protecting property, or your life, you might as well act like one and try not to get them involved.

Good for him for defending himself, as is is God given right.

Damn the English for having their heads so far up their asses as to charge him with murder.

England has forgotten their own philosophers, Hobbs and Locke. You know, the ones that Jefferson studied and emulated to write our constitution.

I lived in the UK for 3 1/2 years. Good people, horrible govt. We have a competition shooter here in CO from the UK. He immigrated here and just recently completed his US citizenship. He left because of their gun laws.

Yep...I have friends (husband/wife) from the UK who immigrated here last year because of the loss of personal freedoms.

Hmm, trying to be surprised... not working.
I understand that in Britain, noone ever really owns land either, rather it is owned by the government and leased to the citizens for a given period of time.
Sad. Now if we can just stop things from getting that way here.
