Default IMI UZI Model A or B?

So I have gotten it in my head I need to add an UZI to my collection. I have a choice between a Model A or Model B imported by Action Arms back in the day. Is there any advantage to having one over the other? My understanding is the B has the later style sights and the firing pin safety on the bolt. Other than that they are essentially the same gun. Thoughts from those that have or had one?

I would prefer the Model A, maybe a little more collectible than the B.

I had a Vector for a while, IMHO it was an excellent clone.

The B is $700 cheaper but I suspect the price difference has more to do with the fact the A has the original box and all accessories. I don't really care about the box and stuff (it's cool but not $700 cool). I may just opt for the Model B. My only real requirement is it has to be a "real" UZI factory gun vs a parts gun.

I know you want an IMI original. I had a Vector that was at least as nice as an 'original'. I was reliable with all ammo. Even low powered 750 fps sub sonic. If you're buying to shoot it, the Vectors are a great value. If you are collecting, buy the most complete boxed set and might as well get the A model.

It's not about collecting really. This will be shot and not just sit in the box. I just like having a factory gun instead of a kit build if it's an option. $700 for a worn out box isn't really something I am interested in. Besides I couldn't have the original mag thanks to our retarded laws so it's not like I am getting a complete set of accessories. Since both models are essentially the same, I'll just pull the trigger on the Model B and scratch my 80's action movie itch.

I'd go with a vector if you can find one.

I’ve got a model A 2xx imported one and unfired. I’ve took it to the range and never get a round to shooting it. It’s a super nice gun but I prefer the Colt 9mm or new cmmg 45gaurd better. I gotta get the UZI sbr’ed. Get rid of the big barrel, also got find a front sight tool. Lol
Here’s a pic with the display barrel. It shipped with a plastic short fake barrel.
