You are correct, the people in Sterling are a half bubble out of plumb. I still have relatives there. I was born there but was lucky enough to get out of there in 1966. That’s when my dad got a job here and we moved to the metro Denver area. Most of the people my age that stayed there didn't have much to do to stay out of trouble. A lot of drinking and doing drugs just for entertainment.

Last time I was in Sterling, I stopped in the Wal-Mart on the west side of town. What a freak show.....

And I'm usually on edge as soon as I hear someones from there as I'd say 3/4 of my people acting up and getting stupid are from out there. Any particular reason, aside from just trying to get away from the crazies here?

I grew up in sterling through junior college. It is a suffocating town. My folks made a decent life for themselves, but i have no desire to go back even for a visit. Yes, the water tastes bad there. I always saId it was runoff from the cattle feed lots.

    LOL,

Sorry, I had to laugh at the comments from the "The Free Democratic Workers Paradise and Utopia of Colorado" also known as the front range. From Blighton, er excuse me Brighton to the beautiful steel mill and workers commune of Pueblo, to the fracking wilds of Fort Collins. Don't forget the wonderful and great renewable five year plans from the all powerful Soviet that runs Boulder. Say it is so comrade. Go and ask your tedious questions on where to go shooting comrade. Go complain to the workers council how you are being mistreated by your government. Go comrade and be mediocre. Go comrade and imagine yourself in some other workers paradise.

The triangle of despair. Old men and boys who commute to dead end jobs, surrounded by people they loath, not able to afford better yet always afraid of worse.

It was just some transient named Dean Luedtke, age 29. A shithead from some shithole somewhere.

I was out there today and didn't see anything strange. I did have to clear leather on my carry piece on the way back though.
