^^ I think that was more a case of political indecisiveness than IDF capability. Political leadership couldn't really get their shit together on when and what they wanted to accomplish. On the other hand, Israeli military commanders were rather surprised at the sophisticated tactics and high level of training of Hezbollah fighters.

Israel got their ass handed to them by Hezbollah in ‘06. Not sure much has changed over there. This certainly isn’t the IDF of ‘67 or ‘73.

I’m not exactly sure they “got their ass handed to them” lol. It ended in a ceasefire because Israel didn’t go all out due to political pressure.

I’ve worked with and known a number of them, and they’ve all come across as good or decent people... until Israel / Palestine comes up and then they’ll do anything except be truthful.
