RAPID CITY JOURNAL
The fire started around 10:40 a.m. at the ammunition business, 2112 N. Elk Vale Road. A cause has not been determined, said Rapid City Fire Department spokesman Lt. Jim Bussell.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is investigating the fire, since Ultramax Ammunition is an ATF licensed facility.
Firefighters have established a 1/2-mile "standoff distance" around the building, where ammo could be heard exploding this morning.
