Found the house on Zillow. It was really nice before those scum trashed it.

I know the owners might have been a bit naive. What does this say about the overall tone of society? This would not have happened in the 50's. I've heard tons of stories about renters, and it seems the laws are in favor of these dirt bags.

It would be nice to think people were trust worthy and in the mood to do the right thing. Maybe it's part of the "don't judge" mindset. What I do know is many people have no shame.

And I know its a "civil matter", but holy cow the law needs to have some real consequence for them. You know they have no money.

I think there is a difference between people who are looking for a rental, and people who ask to rent something that is for sale. What that difference is, I couldn't tell you.

I sleep better at night no longer having concern about a rental property. People suck. If you don't think people can do this, you aren't watching the news and lack imagination.

I just sold one that was a nightmare. I have another, but have some of the best tenants in the world. I usually receive one call a month to ask where I want my money. One time he called and asked if I would purchase a new set of kitchen cabinet he found for a great deal. For $1000, he completely remodeled the kitchen and added cabinets to the laundry room. I do give him a discount on rent once in a while, and haven't raised it in 6 years. He has almost completely renovated the house at almost no cost to me. What more could I ask for, other than him to just buy the house from me.

Rental property owners occasionally get together and trade horror stories.
One couple rented a house out for 30 years to a hard-working family on the West Slope.
The renters paid for the house in full, provided a monthly cash flow to the owners, and did all the repairs as if they owned it.
The owners offered to sell it to them below market value as a thank you.
The renters moved out the next day leaving the house in perfect condition.
    You just never know.

Default El Paso county couple learn a hard lesson

I followed this on fb and one of the news channels had an article up. People were posting the scumbags facebook profiles, pictures and the female had just bonded out of jail on 5/10/2018 (unrelated offense) and they had a screenshot of it up. The female may be active duty military but not verified (it does list it on her fb page).

I'd post it up, but I'm not sure the rules on posting personally identifying info of non-members.

She had a whole litter of newborn pups and kittens in that house.

I kinda dont feel sorry for the sellers...with so many qualified buyers out there...they chose to be stupid with a couple whose credit score was questionable to begin with and the lender wanted them to bring it up before approving the loan 100%.

The sellers realtor failed them big time and should have 100% advised against this.

EPCS is saying its a civil matter, not criminal. Trash a $450,000 home and you walk away scott free. geez.
