Obviously, the use of the word homeless would likely mean they don’t have their own bathroom. And I don’t know if too many business establishments would be too keen on letting these people stroll into their place and use their facilities.

On a related note, I haven’t figured out why any homeless person would choose Colorado. (Well, maybe for our state’s general acceptance of their presence.) I would be living someplace a bit warmer myself. Maybe Arizona or Florida or something.

Behind a dumpster or in a dark area is one thing, but I regularly witness the homeless whip it out in open crowded areas with absolutely no regard for who's around and watching.

Perhaps ANY less obvious place than the busiest street in Denver?
We've all been there, drunk / sick / whatever. (edit: peeing, not crap) Still, you can't sneak down an alley and hide behind a dumpster?
Sneak into some residential area and look for heavy shrubbery?
And again, not for crap, but every stairwell in every parking ramp I've ever been to has some smell of urine to it.


I do, however, agree with you on being homeless in CO. It was even worse when I grew up in WI.
"Oh they have family here?" Well, what the hell kind of family are they if they won't take them in?
If I got nothing but time, I'd march my ass down to Mexico or Florida, just like you said. Be homeless on a beach at a minimum.

As a Transit Police Dispatcher with access to around 3500 cameras, I've seen it all. It's amazing I'm not a raging alcoholic. Not sure there's enough alcohol in the world to rinse my brain from all the garbage I've seen on our transit system.

"Homeless" implies one could achieve the purchase or renting of a dwelling.

Call them what they are. Street drunks or crazy.
