Sounds like a good assortment, especially for what sounds like a relatively recent interest..?
On that GSG, how is function/accuracy/versatility with various .22 ammo? I am very curious.. Those things look like a blast for sure!
So what do you think you're going to go with on the ar? Gonna put it together or buy complete? If you decide to assemble, there is alot of info on here from people who are very knowledgable about them.

The 30-30, 30.06 and pistol were my dad's. When he passed away, I wanted to keep them in the family to pass on. I've used them a few times for hunting, but that is about it. I have had the shotgun since I was a teenager and that has been my bird gun ever since. So I've had the hunting guns awhile, but just started getting interested in ARs.

When my son started talking about shooting for Cub Scouts, I started looking for a .22 for him. I ran across the GSG-5 and bought it simply because it looked cool! It is a blast to shoot! I haven't put that many rounds through it yet, so I can't comment on different types of ammo and their accuracy. I have only used Federal .22LR and it didn't jam once on me. It only has about 300 rounds through it.

As far as the AR is concerned, I'm starting to lean towards building my own lower and buying an upper with all the great advice here. I'm thinking about purchasing the CMMG bargain bin 18" government profile and then building a nice lower. From what I've read, CMMG is about middle of the road on the uppers with the chrome lined barrel and 1/7 twist. Anybody have thoughts on this?

I've heard alot of good things about the CMMG's, sounds like a great way to go!
Glad to hear about the excellent results with the GSG, I am very tempted to pick up one at some point. Cheap to shoot and the idea of a .22 mp5 is just too cool!
