Dirty little secret is that Quickbooks is utter shit. Having spent the last few years maintaining computers running Quickbooks Enterprise and Quickbooks Point of Sale I can tell you that their software is crap. Its unstable, poorly coded crap that doesn't even follow Microsoft's software design guidelines so every update of itself or Windows is a nail biting exercise and when something inevitably goes wrong its hours of time (if not a couple of days of downtime) on hold waiting for Habib to rattle instructions to you in pidgin english that may or may not actually work. Often it means you have to waste a few days dicking with their software only to just have to pony up the cash for the latest version just to get it to work.

So maybe this will allow an opening for a decent software company to make a competing product that is actually worth a shit.
