    Default North site closure?

Was up there today and I was talking to a sheriff who was tellng me that the neghbors in the area are trying to get the range shut down. I guess there has been some wizers fly by homes(reported by people who live on the other side of the hill). Also, some people took a sound measuring device out at the road and had registered up to 80 decibles which is over city ordanance. I did see some targets hanging in the trees which is completely retarded. Anyway, not trying to scare people here but, just passing along the info I heard from one of the sheriffs who patrol the area.

I was up there today too. This was my first visit, and man I have to say it was quite disheartening to see how much crap was up there. I can't even begin to think how many empty cases there where on the ground, but it was in the thousands. We picked up hundreds of cases, but didn't even make a dent in it.

    Pretty sad actually.

There were a few groups of people there today, and everyone was really friendly, and it was great to see some good people up there. One group let us borrow there target stand for a while and another group offered us some tape as we ran out of staple and our targets were flapping around. Thanks to everyone, and thanks to those that pick up there garbage and empty cases.

Hey I was the guy that let you barrow my target stand! Let me know if you need demensions. Yea it was my first trip to this range as well and yes it was pretty bad as far as trash but I've seen so much worse. I was stupid and forgot trash bags but found some small grocery bags in my truck to pack out as much as I could.

Man that stand is simply brilliant!! Thanks so much for letting us use it. It was nice up there but a little windy and a slight nip to the air. We stayed until about 4:30. It was a good day over all.

Was that your new .22 you were shooting? I was looking at that rifle too, and was going to get it if you didn't. Looked like a great deal

Yea my dad actually picked up that 10/22. I was there with my newly built 10/22 and was having problems with my new scope...it didnt help that it was windy with those little bullets trying to be consistant at 100yds! Anyway it was a great day for shooting

I hope it doesn't get closed as I like it up there and my only other nearby area is Left Hand.

It'll only take a couple of idiots with no regard for safety or leaving their trash to have it closed though

I was up there on Thursday the 15th, and didn't see much trash or cases at all. Pretty clean. All that was there was a large pallet with boards so it can be stood up, and a smaller pallet at the short range to the left.

I don't know what happened between then and today. Pictures would help

Yeah there was quite a bit of crap up there, and there were thousands and thousands of empty cases everywhere. It won't take much for them to close down a place like that. Very sad to see.
