    Default Parking violations?

Do parking violations (specifically city/county of Denver) show up on your driving record?

My wife doesn't like to deal with finances so everything we own is in my name, including her car. So, she gets a parking ticket and it's in my name.

    Just curious.

I would go out on a limb and say no, it won't show up on your driving record. Be a good idea to pay it. If you take the time to protest in person they will lower the fine, sometimes.

If you don't pay it, they'll increase the fine three times, then send it to collections, which is also owned by the city of Denver, and they will not negotiate with you at all. I wanted to buy a house and was sensitive to my credit score at the time, so I paid it.

They really go for it in the airport. Got back from a trip to England and had a double ticket.

My handicap permit had just expired at the end of the month. (3-year permit - I'm lucky I remember stuff from yesterday) $150 ticket. I didn't have my renewal sticker on my license plate (I had renewed) $75 ticket. Guess I should have protested. I just paid it.

For the record, the ticket was paid.

In fact, it appears it was overpaid.

I got a notice in the mail about a refund for an overpaid parking ticket with my name on it. I haven't gotten any parking tickets, much less paid any. Thought it was some sort of mixup until I realized it was my wife's license plate number.

Not a huge deal other than my employer requires me to keep a pretty good driving record and the last thing I need is to lose my job over my wife's discrepancies.

Oh, to answer your question, only moving violations should show up on your MVR.

They shouldn't. It would show up on the cars Vin which could hold you back from renewing registration, but your driving record via DL# it shouldn't show up there.

I pulled my driving record a few years back and it was the last 10 years of any moving violations, no parking issues and no BS camera tickets either.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.
