    Ayup.
When I worked for CDOT I was privy to air quality reports that were not made public. Motor vehicles actually have little impact on air quality.
Hell, the biggest changer of "the brown cloud" in the metro was CDOT gravitating away from conventional salt and sand, it created tremendous amounts of dust.

I don't want to give the impression I want more restrictions, because I don't. At the same time, I'm not willing to write something off just because it is proposed by someone I don't agree with politically. So I'm open minded to ideas.

Saying emission regulations make the air cleaner is the same as saying gun controll makes the streets safer. Like I said before it is all about money plane and simple.

    More regulations! yay!

Before environment people talk carbon emissions, I would recommend them to at least check on their air filters, catalyic converters, not run unncessary idles, and plan trips ahead. I bet even thsoe 1/2 ass effort from individuals will reduce significant Monoxide and Dioxide emissions.

Thanks for setting me straight. Less government is better, especially when it just costs money and doesn't accomplish anything.

Think it's safe to say that manufacturer regulations have reduced emissions far more than any consumer side restrictions?

That's what I've heard as well. The sand is pulverized into silt and makes its way into the air.

I welcome some regulations. I welcome some areas which government lacks of such as investments and asSholes who rip off their employees and go to yacht trip with con money.
    As econ guys always say:

Another one can be ease off of FDA and go after stupid generic pharmaceutical companies which charges $5 per colchicine pills or $400 for epipens. Oh yeah got should stop giving generic -opolies to some generic pharmaceuticals.

Also doesn’t seem to be getting cleaned up in the spring any more. Used to have sweepers get a lot of it up in the 80s/90s. Now it stays in the medians to chip windshields all year long.
