Default First timer. Photo and fingerprint questions.

Doing the sico promotion for my first nfa. Vaguely familiar with process.

Looks like weld does fingerprints and said they have the forms. Do you know if these are truly FDwhatever cards that will work? Local pd is free but very limited schedule.

I ordered the cards from atf also, no idea how long to come in.

Passport photos, whats a cheap way to do this rather than paying out 15/2 from pharmacy which is expensive for doing a few items.

Good choice on a very good deal; I couldn't resist either. If you haven't picked an FFL to transfer your items, I can send you who I use and he has been nothing but great so far. Most FFL's will walk you through the process if you use them because it will make their life easier if it is done right the first time.

I get mine done at the Weld County Jail. I believe it is around $10 or so and they are open during normal business hours (closed 12-1pm for lunch). They have worked for all ATF related stuff for me so far.

Last time I ordered them, they took about a week to come. The jail will provide them if you decide to use them.

There is some apps out there that will let you do it but I just suck it up and pay Walgreens to do it.

I think I have someone picked out. Prices seem good and is kinda moot since you have to spend 800 for the free octane. Im assuming a transfer fee was if you bought online.

Guess ill swing by the jail after work if I dont get atf shipped ones in time for a tuesday appt with Frederick.

Guess Ill try one of the apps printed out to walmart. Doubt my inkjet makes quality enough photos.

I have had a Form 1 and a Form 4 approved with my HP 4520 inkjet printed photos.

I followed these Official Instructions from U.S. Department of State
    https://travel.state.gov/content/pas...os/photos.html

I printed them on some non-photo self-sticking shipping label paper. It made it easy to just stick them on.

I took photos of me and the wife for my last form 4 on the trust. No issues if you follow the guidelines.

Walmart costs 25 cents (27 with tax) for a single 4x6 photo. I took my own picture, cropped it following the guidelines for passport photos, and had two 4x6's (6 photo's per) printed at Walmart and cut them out myself. So I did 12 passport-style photo's for 54 cents, a little time, and some driving. I have an old glue stick I use to adhere them to the form.

I've ordered ATF fingerprint forms twice in the past year or so. Both times they arrived in a few days; normal mailing time.
Fingerprinting options out here are sparse, but maybe not as sparse as they are in Frederick. Anyone who knows how to do fingerprinting can do them. Some people roll their own, but I've never actually tried that. If there's a local class 3 dealer, they may have a suggestion on where to get them done.
    Never complain; never explain.

Did a can and an sbr using the Silencershop kiosk and the phone app. paperwork and prints done on the kiosk, snapped pics with my phone using their app and sent them through. Purchase stamp on their website and done. I did this through Bristlecone in Lakewood using their Kiosk. I would find a shop near you with one. Sure makes the process super easy.

I didnt like the cost though, think it was like >$50 if trying to use it for a can from another dealer or something? I did think about those, but I was happy with my local FFL I found.

Costco was the biggest nice find, $5 for 4 photo's not bad and hassle free over saving $2-3 and doing it myself + walmart. I swear I got cancer from doing the ink for 4 cards.
